Ok, let’s set our sights this Christmas to prepare a fantastic ham recipe for Christmas. Let me introduce to you the “Baked ham with barbecue glaze” Now before we go into the details of making this great recipe let, first go through the steps of preparing baked ham.
How To Prepare Baked Ham in 3 Steps
1. Cut rind from around shank of ham and, using your fingers and starting at base of ham, carefully remove the skin.
2. Score fat in 1cm strips, making sure you don’t cut all the way through to the ham meat.
3. Brush ham all over with barbecue glaze and bake for 2 hours, brushing with glaze every 30 minutes.

Now for the ingredients and recipe…
Ingredients
7kg Butcher Full Leg Ham
1 table spoon of Dijon Mustard
Half Cup of Barbecue Sauce
Preparation
1. Preheat oven to 170C or 150C fan
2. Combine barbecue sauce, mustard and half cup of water in a small saucepan. Simmer on medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes or until sauce begins to thicken slightly.
3. Meanwhile, cut rind from around shank of ham, 10cm from the knuckle. Using your fingers and starting at the base of the ham, carefully remove skin. Score fat in 1cm strips,taking care not to cut all the way through to the ham meat.
4. Line a large baking dish with foil. Place ham in a pain an brush over the glaze. Bake ham for 2 hours, brushing with glaze every 30 minutes or until ham is golden and the glaze caramelised.
5. Slice ham and serve with Raspberry, apple and ginger relish.

This is a magnificent idea! Nothing like a barbeque at Christmas with a wonder ham!! I’m definitely going to give this a try!
