First off if you like this post, please Retweet it… thx!

Now for all you non aussies or aussies who have not been around Sunshine Coast hinterland this post is for you. I can pretty much sum up that these are 2 of  the good places you just have to go besides the popular ones (which I’ve listed at the bottom of this post). We visited these 2 places a few weeks ago when we made our trip back to the hinterlands. Now for the unacquainted, Sunshine Coast has 2 main attractions. One is the coast and the hinterland. If you’ve decided that you had enough of seeing the beaches and the coasts especially after getting a good tan at Surfers Paradise then Sunshine Coast Hinterland is definitely a place to check out!

1. Maleny Cheese

If you’re coming from down south from the Bruce Highway into Steven Irwin’s way, this is definitely the place to check out first if you are going around the hinterland. Below is the cheese complex where you will find all sorts of products ranging from

maleny cheese opening times

  • Low Fat yoghurts
  • Premium yoghurts
  • Gourmet yoghurts
  • Maleny Camembert
  • Maleny Feta
  • Maleny Brie
  • Maleny Butter
  • Maleny Hand-crafted Wax Cheddars

PLUS, a cheese shop cafe to enjoy a meal there.

Some of their Gourmet Cheese Range includes:

  • Maleny Tilsit
  • Maleny Raclette
  • Maleny Leblochon
  • Maleny Triple Brie
  • Maleny St Claire
  • and much much more…

Maleny Triple Cream Brie

One of their specialties is the Maleny Triple Cream Brie of among the many different types of cheese you will find there.

So don’t miss out on this place while travelling there.

2. Chocolate Country

This is the next place to go in a town nearby Maleny called Montville. For all you chocolate afficionados or those who are just plain curious this is the next place to walk in. Now let’s see if this pictures whet your appetite :D

Our Chocolate Selections!

Now if you think that those are the only things offered in Chocolate Country, you will be surprised to know that they is an assorted collection of chocolates (see the picture below) of various flavours which you can find here. So yes, there’s lots to look at and sink your teeth on!

Yes, I’ve not listed a lot more popular ones you also MUST go (if you haven’t) like

  • Eumundi Markets
  • Yandina Ginger Factory
  • Macadamia Nutworks
  • Macadamia Nougat

But those 2 places I’ve mentioned earlier are MUST visits if you have gone to the more popular ones listed above.

So if you are up for a holiday in Sunny Queensland, head right down under to sunshine coast!
